Public sitemap validator

A useful validator needs to go beyond well-formed XML and explain URL, canonical, and indexability findings. Until a standalone checker is released, the same task can be approached through a documented audit process.
Available todayTechnical site audits are available in SEODatum. A standalone public form for validating an arbitrary sitemap is not currently a live product feature.

The standalone experience being considered

The planned tool would retrieve a public sitemap, validate its structure, and separate protocol errors from URL findings. Timing, limits, and the final checks are not confirmed.

What this page does not do

There is no URL submission form, background check, or sample result presented as data from your site. The planned label applies specifically to the public standalone validator.

What you can check today

Retrieve the file without authentication, validate XML, then inspect response codes, canonical targets, noindex directives, redirects, and lastmod quality. Compare the findings with internal links and the project’s technical audit.

Review the sitemap in its project context

Use a technical audit and the sitemap workflow to build a reproducible issue list. This page does not run a public sitemap check.
